Can you imagine a world with 7 billion people? The number 7 billion may seem small for most people, but it is not comparing to resources that are left over in our planet. This is a significant start which will further lead to an over population issue and scarcity of resources. In my history class, I have assigned an assignment which was to study about a country’s population and about the population development rate which also includes: the dependency ratio and the demographic transition stage as well. For this assignment, I have picked Australia, which is an island and is the world’s only country that is also a continent. Australia has their specific attractions that are not the same with other countries around the world.
Due to the fact that Australia is as well an island, making itself specific for example, animals. Regarding to the world, Australia is the sixth largest country by its total area. It is a developed country and its performance in economic is going very well making them the world’s thirteenth largest economy and has the world’s seventh-highest per capita income. Australia is the world’s fifty two places with most population. Their populations are more than twenty two million! Australia has the second highest human development indexed globally. Due to the fact that Australia is a developed country, its populations are developed as well. Australia’s population has increases a lot from the pass. Its transition stage will soon reaching the highest point as well. As if for male, Australia’s males population are more than female’s population when they are young and being an adult, but when the Australians gets older in age, the number of female’s populations are in the lead over the male’s population. Their dependency rates are as well high. This indicates that there are many working people than people that needs someone else to take care of them and also indicates that Australia is a strong country that stands by them self. In the year 1900, Australia’s population was only about 3 millions, but in 2010, its population is more than twenty two billions people. This shows that their population has shifted and increases very fast and will be increasing more in the future. As technologies involved, people live longer. During World War One and World War Two, Australia has lost tons of people in their country, but after they have developed themselves, their population shifted very quickly. Many Australians have moved out of their country of jobs and families. This is the beginning of an over population issue because when there is more people added to the country, number of jobs are decreases and people will be suffer of money to look for their family, so they have to move to a new country where there’s job and stabilized basic for them. Demographics have estimated that Australia’s population will soon reached the point where there are thirty five million people in their country. In addition, many people moved to study in Australia which also added people on their land and the decreases amount of their resources as well. This will lead to a serious problems such as an over population issue and scarcity of resources. Now, can you imagine what the world will be like in the future with these problems? Let’s us problem creators solve it…..before everything is too late to stop....
Just because of Australia's population increases, doesn't mean that other countries's population do not increases too.....it is coming...it is..
